Nice effect you made at the center, but to be more 3D, try making the sides less wide, and try adding another colors, not just the standard ones (just click on the color selector, and then click on the colored ball at the right top of the color selector window).

Well, you can simple change it, with the black cursor tool, just press at the corner point and drag where you want ;)
PS: The magnet button at the utilities window at the left needs to be pressed.
